Fri, Sep 11 2026 Mexi-Cone It always starts the same way. A blob of color appears deep in the Southern Hemisphere. The numbers climb. Mexico lights up. And before the first lines ever reach the coast, the wheels are already turning—flights get searched, boards get packed, filmers get called, and whatever was on the calendar suddenly doesn’t seem all that important. But when the swell stretches across hundreds of miles of coastline, one question hangs over everything: "Where do we go?” Because everyone’s chasing something different. Endless sand-bottom runners. Heavy beachbreak barrels. Empty lineups. Big boards and bigger consequences. Or just the wave out front, doing exactly what you’ve been waiting all year for it to do. This summer, the DS crew split up and followed their own versions of perfect. Duran took young gun Walker Hawes south to test boards and bones against the raw power of Zicatela. Chauncey traded a flat Florida summer for the long, spinning right-hand points farther down the coast. Meanwhile, Nils - who spends a healthy portion of the year posted up in Pascuales - had the easiest commute of the bunch. He dusted off some old-faithful foam, rolled out of bed, got properly tubed, and was back home before lunch. More than 600 miles separated the crew. One Southern Hemi pulse connected them. And somehow, everyone made the right call. Filmed by: Omar Diaz Reyes, Nate Harrington, and John King. Music by: No One and the Somebodies - Humans being HUMAN BEINGS
