One of the greatest to ever step foot on a board, Kalani David lived and surfed with his heart on his sleeve. Sheer determination, natural talent and fearless commitment fueled Kalani. Born and raised on the North Shore of O`ahu, Kalani’s environment shaped his style by creating the rare balance between casual and aggressive. Equally, at home above the coping as he was above the lip, his approach on any board was fast, explosive, and packed with raw power. Dark Seas was drawn to Kalani because of his authenticity as a human and his tenacity to progress on land and in the water. Never resting on past accomplishments and constantly overcoming any obstacle that stood in his way, Kalani’s perseverance was undeniable.
